What did you get up to during lockdown? I tracked down all my go-pro and drone footage from my trip to Sri Lanka and stitched a few clips together. Having thought I’d lost this content at one stage I was stoked to retrieve it and practice my editing skills.
Once again, a trip filled with trials and tribulations but any exploration of parts unknown is always worth it in the end. I must send a big shout out to my riding partner Simon ‘Fuser’ Firth. For putting up with me always wanting to take the backroads and risking life and limb to achieve a good shot. I made him ride in the scorching midday sun and payed the price with a bout of heat exhaustion myself after he had wisely abandoned trip.
Big thanks also to a mate from way back- Chris Bettles. He helped organise our trusty steads with Anton in Negumbo and everywhere we went on our Royal Enfield we turned heads.
And thanks to the people of Sri Lanka. Super friendly, always smiling, quaint and polite but some hell crazy bus drivers.
